The Stone Blade Tomahawk or war hawk survived late into the 1800’s. Ours gallery-quality hawks are made with hand-knapped flint or Keokuk chert head, Osage orange or black locust handle, deer or elk hide wrapping, brass tacks, red wool trade cloth accents, ribbons, simulated eagle feathers, and horsehair accents with an overall length of 25 to 35 inches--antiqued heavily and designed to be statements of simple grace.
